Community Patrol

In addition to the responsibilities for all board members, the community patrol director is responsible for the following:

Community Patrol is to be those “extra eyes and ears” that assist in helping to keep the community safer.

  • Recruit and be contact for new community patrollers
  • Provide training in what patrollers can do, cannot do and what should be reported.
  • Provide security & safety information for newsletters
  • Plan for and advise board of upcoming training or information events
  • Community contact with NET
  • Attend Community Patrol meetings
  • Attend BCL board meetings
    • Provide community statistics, any upcoming trainings, patrol concerns or issues

All volunteers for board member positions must be members in good standing for at least 90 days prior to taking the position.
